New Leadership at Integrity Systems Company

Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) has named Jo Quigley as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Integrity Systems Company (ISC), its subsidiary. ISC is tasked with overseeing Australia’s principal red meat traceability, animal welfare, food safety, and biosecurity programmes.

These include the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS), Livestock Production Assurance (LPA), and the electronic National Vendor Declaration (eNVD).

Background and Qualifications

Jo Quigley’s appointment follows a comprehensive search to find a successor for Dr Jane Weatherley, who left the CEO position in August to take up the role of General Manager of Communication and adoption at MLA.

Quigley has been with ISC for the past seven years, serving as Group Manager – ISC Operations, and has acted as interim CEO since August.

Industry Experience and Stakeholder Relationships

Jason Strong, MLA’s Managing Director, highlighted Quigley’s extensive industry experience and strong stakeholder relationships as key factors in her appointment. “Jo’s proven ability in project delivery, her excellent diplomacy and stakeholder relationship skills, and the high regard she already enjoys within the industry make her exceptionally well-suited for this role,” said Strong.

Focus on Traceability and Integrity

Strong also noted that Quigley’s deep understanding of the industry and ISC would enable her to work effectively with the sector to fortify its traceability system. “With over 20 years of experience in our integrity and traceability systems, she possesses the industry knowledge needed to navigate its challenges and opportunities,” he added.

Career Milestones

Quigley began her career with MLA in 2003 as a Technical Field Officer, where she supported the national rollout of NLIS for cattle. She has also served as the NLIS Database Manager and the Manager of NLIS Ltd, the predecessor to ISC, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the national traceability platform.

Future Plans and Industry Impact

“The work being carried out at ISC is crucial for the ongoing success and sustainability of the livestock and agriculture sector. I am eager to collaborate with our partners and stakeholders to further improve the industry’s integrity and transparency,” Quigley stated.

In summary, Jo Quigley has been appointed as the new CEO of Integrity Systems Company, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a strong track record in project delivery and stakeholder relationships. Her focus will be on enhancing the robustness and reliability of Australia’s red meat traceability and integrity systems.
